I think those questions may not be spoken (often, at least) because they're not really a big issue. Granted, that it may depend on where you live, but for me, food storage isn't a big issue, I spend less on food than I did when I ate cooked, and even living in a small NYC apartment, storage space isn't a big deal, like the other poster said, I usually just go to pick up some fruit every day. I also sometimes buy one box of bananas wholesale, and when I don't buy wholesale, I just have an "assembly line" of 8-15 bunches of bananas, with the first ones in being always ready to eat, and the later ones being in some earlier stage of ripening.
