B12 deficiency typically takes 10-15 years to develop. If you show deficiency symptoms after a few months on any diet, the diet essentially cannot be the blame. Most B12 deficiency issues revolve around problems with absorption, or unusual stress, or both.

If you supplement B12 and feel better, by all means continue to supplement for a few weeks until you've built up your supplies. But you must deal with the underlying cause(s) as well.

If you aren't testing low in D and calcium, and aren't showing deficiency symptoms, why supplement?
If your "normal" in iron is somewhat lower than the average, but you aren't showing symptoms, why supplement?
