Hi: I have been following the 80-10-10 diet for a number of years. I am 52 and very active so do not have any excess weight. I did a three week mountaineering trip this summer and have never recovered. Never had joint pain before but now the sports medical doctor is telling me I need double knee replacements due to osteoarthritis. I am so depressed about the pain and lack of activity. I am only able to swim. Is there anything I can do? I wonder if menopause could be contributing to the problem. Can I reverse this somehow...the doc says no. I would be grateful for any and all ideas. Thanks!
