On July 30, 2012, my sister got a necrotizing fasciitis (flesh eating) infection from Streptococcus group A (Streptococcus pyogenes) on her left foot and leg. She had surgery on her foot to clean it out and relieve the pressure, which probably saved her foot. At the moment, her concern is that her toes still have very little movement, and her big toe is partially numb. Her foot is still swollen on the top and bottom, the suture feels tight, and the top of her foot is almost always mildly to somewhat sore. She is on the standard western diet and loves alcohol. All my knowledge was ignored about the 80/10/10 raw vegan diet of fruits and greens. I have no hope for the long-term success of people who ignore healthful living but somehow expect health.
