Here is what one person said about the video: "Excuse me if this comes off as ignorant, but how does this prove fat to be the culprit? Let me know if my progression of understanding is off here. -He says his triglycerides have doubled after taking the olive oil, but doesn't say anything about LDL having any significant change -He then consumes a large sandwich, and later what seems to be a fair amount of pizza, and blames the effect of blood sugar and elevated LDL on the olive oil? -This somehow proves olive oil as being the main culprit in the onset of diabetes? Also, most of the "fatty foods" listed contain a high amount of processed grains - lasagne, cake, deep fried foods, etc. What about research on the role of processed carbs affecting blood cholesterol negatively? "This is exactly the kind of video that keeps so many people confused on this topic - this video makes a fairly weighty claim (using the phrase "proven by") about the role of fats and subsequently blames fat for the recorded effects without at all taking into account other variables at play. Is it just me or would this be thrown out in any sort of scientific community?"
