The confusion between low calorie and low fat continues. You referred to low fat, as a percentage of total calories. He referred to low calories in total. Ketogenic has to do with low calories, not low fat. So, to begin with, you are referring to two different things, which will make conversation and comparisons difficult, at best. I'd be asking about why people on insulin who cut the fat and increase the fruit in order to maintain calorie intake end up dropping the insulin, usually in a matter of days. And maybe refer to that youtube video where the doctor explains how to become a diabetic in 6 hours.
