Subject:         Seeking Raw Caribbean Cruise Mate

Greetings! I’m looking to take an 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise on Holland America 1/7/13 to 1/18/13. My honey is going to the Ann Wigmore Center in Puerto Rico at that time, so she can’t join me. In order to not have to pay the single supplement, which would almost double the price, I’m looking for a compatible male travel partner to share a room with me. So, I’m checking on this board first, for someone with a similar lifestyle.

A little about me. I live in Virginia Beach. I’m 49 and very easygoing. I’ve been a raw foodist for 16 years, with at least half of that being low fat raw vegan. I practice lots of other aspects of a healthy lifestyle, including a strong fitness discipline. This is my 7th cruise, so I know a lot of the ins and outs. On the ship I would prefer to not have the cabin too cold. Most nights I would probably go to bed around 10 or 11. Even though all the food is included in the price I usually bring some food on with me to have a little more variation. I also bring a small blender to make salad dressings and smoothies in the room. The buffet options of fruit and salad, although not organic, are good enough to get by fine for the week. I can sometimes get requested food from the kitchen as well. Also can get some nice fruit on some of the islands.

The cost of the cruise and extras would be:
-$1100 for cruise
-$115 in taxes
-$165 in gratuities added to bill, for wait staff and room stewards (can be adjusted if desired)
-Money spent on excursions on the different islands
-Money spent on alcohol and soda, if you choose to partake ( no judgement :>))
-Travel to Ft. Lauderdale, where cruise originates
-All regular food and entertainment on ship is included, outside of specialty options

It’s a real nice cruise- 11 days and 7 islands- Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Marten, St. Lucia, Barbados, Dominica, Martinique. Real nice for a winter recharge. I’ve been to most of these islands already, so I know my way around to some degree.

Let me know if you have interest and we can chat some more and see if it’s a good fit. Also, if there’s any other details that you need let me know. It would need to be booked soon to guarantee price and availability. Might not have to pay it all right away, but not sure.

Todd
