I'd suggest you keep your sodium rather high than (too) low. Looking at human milk and other species' milk, also at meat (tissue), the ratio is about always around 1:3 (sodium:potassium). As long as your s:p ratio is not worse (higher) than 1:3, you be fine, likely more healthy than with a lower ratio. In support of that a recent (2011), large study, published in the Archives of Internal Medicine (Elena V. Kuklina, M.D., and colleagues at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Emory University, and the Harvard School of Public Health) showed that people who consumed (too) little sodium, much like those who consumed too much sodium, had a higher risk of mortality.
