Subject:         Durian Nightmare in Bangkok
Date: August 31, 2012 at 2:20 pm PST

Dear Dr. Graham,
I've recently been in Thailand for two weeks and the second
day in Bangkok I had maybe the most horrible night of my life.

I ate fruit during that day (not much, I was very tired
because of jetlag and high temperature) and only a small low-
fat vegan sandwich (white bread, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers,
no condiments or dressing) for dinner. After that sandwich I
was really craving durian so I had about 400gr of Monthong
peeled durian purchased on the street during the day.

I really enjoyed my durian but almost immediately after, about
15 minutes, I started feeling so sick: I was so nauseated that
i threw up all the night, like 15 times.

After a couple of hours I started feeling better, I water
fasted during the next day and everything fixed.

I'm asking you: why did this happen, even if I enjoyed so much
that durian?
Maybe this fruit is too fat?
Maybe I was too tired to digest it properly?

I can't understand.
