Kev, eat as much fruit as you desire. Kick the refined carbs to the curb. They stick like glue. Try just one week on 100% lfrv and you will lose weight and your performance will increase. After struggling to keep my calories low and feeling like I was starving, I gave in and just made sure I had enough fruit with me at all times to never get to 'starving'. Now I exercise like crazy and eat as much as I want and I'm skinnier than ever. I also like to get my greens in the form of green smoothies. Easy and delicious. And greens help with cravings. My two cents :). Good luck!
