Dr. Doug,
I just received a call from my doc's office. I did an occult fecal blood test during my recent exam in July. I am 60 yo woman, 130lb, vegan for 8 years, raw for 6 months. I am very physically active and feel great. Of course they want me to do a colonoscopy (have never had one). My question is, "can eating raw cause a positive result?" I told them that I'd like to repeat the test, but they are still recommending a visit to the gastroenterologist. Comments? suggestions?
No family history of cancer.
