Subject:         Acid fruit. chilled fruit

What is it about fruit that makes many or most people prefer
them slightly chilled, even if it's not a hot day?
To me, most fruits taste somewhat sweeter when slightly
chilled, how come?

Also, is it true that acids are more active in heat, and that
it's better to have acid fruits in the evening when the
temperature is lower?
