However, last time I checked, the Cavendish (and actually 'human-edible' bananas) was made (cultivated) by man.

But, another question: If a (benign) god created (half way edible) bananas, why did he also put so many antinutrients into it? Arrrgh. :D
Or, maybe it was not a so benign one. :O :D
