Thanks Dr. Doug for the good points, they make perfect sense. I'm one week on 80/10/10 and feeling great. But I have a respectful criticism. You said in your response that "you can prove anything in a lab". So shouldn't we also apply that rule to "studies" on saturated fat? - When we look at real cultures from around the world, cannot we conclude that 'useless at best' is not an accurate description for saturated fat, assuming that the persons in question keep daily fat intake somewhere around 10% per day (or at least below 20%)? - Some quite recent lab "studies" conclude that several saturated fatty acids evidently have real benefits as part of the everyday diet, and the actual world appears to corroborate these findings. - The saturated fat arena may reveal room for improvement in the 80/10/10 diet. I mean we are all always learning and refining based on new knowledge.
