As the 80/10/10 Diet book indicates there are 32 or 33 elements to health and diet is just one of them. That means diet encompasses just about 3% of health if all of them are equal.

The thing about health however is that for the people who have had heart attacks, strokes, cancer, diabetes, and a long list of other health issues, their diet was extremely important and in many cases meant life or death.

Nobody really knows if or when one of these illnesses will present itself even though we believe that we have no genetic background to getting them.

So many people like the famous American producer named John Hughes who suddenly died of a heart attack just about 3 years ago have no genetic history or individual history of heart failures or heart disease but suddenly out of the blue they are just casually strolling along and in a couple of seconds they are dead. Nothing prevents this event better than a low fat diet free of animal products.
