Do not confuse vegan and 811rv, these are two very different paradigms, with latter being a subset of the former and also otherwise restricted (e.g. no fortified foods). So, 811rv will likely not provide all essential nutrients (e.g. b12), and also might contribute to malabsorption of other essential nutrients. There is not enough evidence that suggests that 811rv is healthy at all, over long term, and the question is can you take the risk. I think that one should not gamble with other people's lives (in your case your children). If, for example, you want to experiment for yourself, no problem, but not with others.
