Hi there,

I too had really low iron before being vegan and also as a raw
vegan. Science and nutrition data shows that the highest
concentration of iron is actually in Fresh dates. My Natural
therapist (he is a fruitarian) told me to eat at least 5 per day.

This slowly brought up my iron levels WITHOUT supplements
while maintains mostly raw and DEFINATELY vegan lifestyle.

Further testimony for this is my recent pregnancy whereby my
iron levels dropped somewhat (still in the healthy arnge but on
the lower side) due to great demands from baby. All the Dr
recommended an iron supplement and I nodded my head and
increased my date consumption, refusing to take dangerous iron
supplement. I especially focused on having 10 dates per day
after the birth. 6 weeks post birth my iron levels are well into the
healthy range again..

I recommend daily dates for low iron and this fits in nicely with
811. Also before you take any more iron supplements please do
a YouTube search for "running raw iron". This guy absolutely
explains iron absorption on a raw vegan diet and also the
dangers of iron supplements, hence why I would never ever take
especially in pregnancy. GOOD LUCK!

Katie
