In The 80/10/10 Diet book, page 43, Fruit and Cancer heading, it says that a low-fat fruit and greens diet (whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic) will:

1) increase the vitality of the patient because fruit is number one in matching our nutritional requirements and greens is number two. To date, it has not been possible to cause cancer in healthy cells no matter to which carcinogens they are briefly exposed.

2) provide and alkaline environment because the minerals are predominantly alkaline. Cancer is associated with an acid condition in the body, but no one has established whether this acidity is a cause of cancer, a body-generated defense "effect", or simply an unrelated condition that accompanies the true cause(s) of cancer.

3) provide a well-oxygenated environment due to the low fat. Cancer cells thrive in an anaerobic environment (low oxygen).

TPN (total parenteral nutrition) is used for patients who cannot or should not get their nutrition through eating. Intralipid is an emulsion of soy bean oil, egg phospholipids and glycerin.

What to give the patient:

Juice is not a whole food, but you have no choice for the patient who can not eat. I would juice fruits and greens together (in the same container) and stop Intralipid. The Intralipid is contraindicated because fat will make the patient less oxygenated and thus will provide an environment for the cancer to thrive, which is counterproductive and, in fact, deadly. I would go with no overt fats. I have been living on no overt fats since January 2011. I would not use store-bought juice because it's probably cooked and not fresh.
