Unless you cannot afford domestic mangoes. I knew they were grown in other states, but I am in Michigan and cannot afford to pay $4.00-$4.50 per mango. I can barely afford to pay $0.63 per mango which is what I am paying now. Which is why my question was about the ripening. If they are still ripening, the damage caused by the heat must not be very great.

I do plan on moving to the tropics eventually. Either the South Pacific or Africa. But right now I am making minimum wage so I have to buy what I can afford rather than starve.
