Fruit is not water deficient, not by a long shot.
I never suggested that fruit is water deficient.
What I said is that vegetables provide more water than fruit; per calorie, especially per carbohydrate calorie. I said that fruit on its own will likely not provide enough water for those days when you are aggressively active, especially on a sustained basis, or in hot, humid, dry, high, or otherwise demanding environments.
We are built for fruits AND vegetables.
