Re: skin problems
The symptoms point to an essential fatty acid (efa) deficiency (and likely other deficiencies*). I have experienced such symptoms and I can induce them by simply not suppling enough linoleic acid; recommended amounts for linoleic acid alone, for women are 13g/d, and for men 17g/d.
Note people with abundant fat in adipose tissue to begin with may not run into such problems any time soon, even if eating fat-free. But such with very low body fat may.
Btw avocado usually is a poor source of efa.
And (non-fatty) fruits and greens/vegs although according to calorometry contain fatty acids it is the question to what extent those fats are bioavailable; they may appear as parts of the plant's cell walls and only a fraction may become available in the process of digestion.

Amenorrhea may be related to the same problem or low calories in general.

Simply search the net for symptoms of efa deficiency on skin etc, and decide for yourself.

*iron, zinc, b12, fat-soluble vitamins etc etc
