Ferritin is a ubiquitous intracellular protein that stores iron and releases it in a controlled fashion. The amount of ferritin stored reflects the amount of iron stored.

Thus, the body made ferritin to store the iron from the greens and to a lesser extent from fruit.

Salt will buy you time when you have a muscle cramp until you eat enough greens. When I had sea salt, my leg cramp went away right away, so I don't see a need to have salt unless you have a cramp. You could try eating greens, including celery, if you have a cramp. That would be better.
