I got some organic rainbow chard with the CSA box I ordered last week. First thing I noticed is that it taste extremely salty. Is there a brine solution or something that they spray these with for any reason? Some of the leaves did not have the strong salt taste but some do. I also get a strong sore sensation in my throat when I eat them. I get a similar sensation from beets so I stopped eating beets. Maybe it's the brine solution, if there is one but I can't eat this stuff.
