We recommend whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic, low-fat fruits and greens. Some people eat small amounts of overt fats: high-fat fruits, nuts, and seeds. Nuts and seeds generally are heated to avoid mold and therefore are rancid and not raw. I do not eat overt fats. I recommend against overt fats for losing weight because fat has 9 calories / g, and sugars have 4 calories / g.
