On page 45 of The 80/10/10 Diet book, it says in bold letters in a box, "Predominance of alkaline minerals are the primary factor in an alkaline system." So, cooked foods depend on the minerals in the ingredients in the cooked foods. On page 46, you must have been thinking when you wrote, "consuming cooked foods" is a practice that acidifies us, that many of the cooked ingredients are acidic.
