I tried eating a teaspoon of sugar just now, and it helped... I read on livestrong.com that the glucose helps digest fructose, and that watermelon has more fructose than glucose. So, maybe also eating one of the fruits higher in glucose than fructose that are mentioned (oranges, kiwi, bluebrries) when the pain comes could help too... or in combination with the watermelon. Also in wikipedia under "fructose malabsorption" there is a list of favourable fruits.
