Hi all, I will be participating in my first bike race this weekend; it's two hundred miles over two days (the Seattle to Portland). I've been vegan for a while but have only adopted the 811 two weeks ago and that's more like 80-10-13. I know they will have fruit for us during the race but I am concerned about my sodium needs. I was thinking of just bringing a few bottles of blended celery, will that be enough? Also, should I eat a larger than normal amount of fruit the day before? Anything special that will help with cramping (I have been getting some cramping around my knees when I train, could just be overuse though). Thanks for any advice!
