Hello Everyone! Firstly I would like to admit that I am only half way through reading " 80/10/10 " by the fabulous Doug Graham but I would like to have this question addressed on here while I read about any information regarding it in the book
So - How would eating primarily fruits and vegetables impact my ability to recover and grow muscle during very heavy resistance training exercises such as squats/deadlifts/cleans that are involved in my training regiment. I have to also progressively over-load the amount of weight I push or pull on these exercises, which means I have to have my muscles recover from training, and become more stronger ( or efficient ) at producing the forces i want to produce.
Conventionally, the protocol to produce the most anabolic environment in the body is to maintain a caloric surplus and eat a lot of animal ( complete ) proteins.
Ever since being enlightened by my best friend about the benefits of a raw diet, I can see how ineffective the conventional diet for strength training really is. So could anyone shed some light and perhaps personal experience on how recovery and strength gains are acquired on a diet similar to the 80/10/10 diet ?
I hope this question makes sense, thank you very much in advanced.
