Hey all, I'm a recent addition to the 811 HCRV club and I am both learning every day but also getting confused everyday as there is a lot of conflicting info on the web. I was hoping to get your ideas on the meaning of 'raw' food as I have seen people using foods like cane syrup juice in their banana smoothies. Is raw food not by definition nothing that has been processed, extracted or refined but only whole, natural state foods. How does cane juice fit in?? Or what about other foods I see people using like orange juice, raw sugar (oxymoron I would think), dried spices, dehydrated food, green powder supplements, synthetic vitamins or cacao powder??? Haven't all of these foods been altered from their natural state in one way or another?? I'm a very "black and white" kind of person so when people say they're eating 100% raw and then add cane syrup juice to their banana smoothie I get confused. Am I being to literal with the term 'raw' or is there just an acceptable grey area with the raw food diet?
