Implement an exercise program. This will help, a lot.
Develop a routine before actually going to bed, and once in bed, a routine for going to sleep. Your body and mind respond well to such routines, and the cues will become training very quickly.

Lower the lights.
Change to night clothes.
Have your evening drink.
Speak softly.
Read a bit.
Do your bathroom bits.

Whatever things you can think of that lead to going to bed.

Once in bed, do what you do before sleeping: read, crossword puzzles, whatever. Upon the first yawn, turn out the lights and assert that everything left undone from today will wait for tomorrow. No problem.

Let sleep attack you, and let it win.
