I don't worry about an exact time, just getting enough sleep. But I agree there's optimal times; it helps if the environment is dark or dusk, and quiet, with a good airflow etc. I never ever feel guilty about sleeping if I feel sleepy, at any time of day. But I do sleep best after 10pm. One thing I've really internalised from Dr D's teaching is that if you want sleep, you need sleep. I find I need 10 hours; if I go less, I am not so energetic, and feel somewhat tired until I remedy the deficit. If you awake energised and ready to deal with your day, you've had enough. If you can go to sleep at 8 or 9pm, you need to.
