I don't worry about an exact time, just getting enough
sleep. But I agree there's optimal times; it helps if
the environment is dark or dusk, and quiet, with a
good airflow etc.

I never ever feel guilty about sleeping if I feel
sleepy, at any time of day. But I do sleep best after
10pm.

One thing I've really internalised from Dr D's
teaching is that if you want sleep, you need sleep. I
find I need 10 hours; if I go less, I am not so
energetic, and feel somewhat tired until I remedy the
deficit.

If you awake energised and ready to deal with your
day, you've had enough. If you can go to sleep at 8
or 9pm, you need to.
