NH has nothing to do with the Garden of Eden story.
Humans and their predecessors have definitely been around for 2M years.
While fire was known, and used, perhaps as long as 200K years ago, what I said in my post was "until cooking became popular world-wide during the last 20,000 years or so." There is a huge difference between some humans using fire and the world-wide popularity of cooking. Cooking took a long time to catch fire, as it was. Even 5K years ago, cooking was not used world-wide, and for those societies that did cook, the use of raw foods was still relatively popular, unlike today.
