During the race he was using honey stingers with electrolytes
and B vitamins.

Also realized he is getting salt from the sheep cheese (it's
pecorino Romano from Costco)

Any dietary explanation doesn't explain why it has happened
twice but not on training runs or his other races. His diet is the
same all the time. Although the cheese is a recent addition of the
past couple months
