Subject:	Enlarged Spleen

Hi everyone,
I've been reading this board for a long time, but have never posted. But now have an emergency that I'm hoping someone can help with. My husband has an enlarged spleen. About 5 times bigger than normal. The doctor wants to schedule surgery for removal right away. But we've done enough research to know that there are a lot of implications that we don't want. Like recommended vaccines and flu shots for the rest of his life. Higher risks of infections. Etc. It is crucial that we come to a decision quickly, but we first want to get some other opinions. Is it possible to shrink it naturally? We don't want to be stupid about this! But we also don't want to make a life changing decision without knowing what, if any, more natural options there are.
