However, if you contact a company direct (phone or
email), you may well find they are happy to ship you
fresh organic dates by cash order.

I had 5 boxes fresh dates last year from the Date
People, in return for sending cash by post. Worth it
if you order in quantity, but be prepared with plenty
of freezer space. The 5 boxes I had filled an under-
counter freezer totally. Freezing is necessary, as
they are too sugary to just refrigerate.

It's the wrong time of year now to order, but you
could contact to see what's available and when.
