Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can give me some insight. I've recently starting eating mostly low fat raw. I became vegan in October and have since then slowly been incorporating more and more raw foods. I would occasionally go out for veggie sushi on date nights with my boyfriend but have recently stopped going after reading 8/10/10 and learning about MSG. I think the soy sauce is linked with this reaction I've been having but I'm not sure and want to be certain it's not a sign of some other sort of deficiency. I have a hard time eating a lot of greens unless I put them in a smoothie so I'm concerned I'm missing nutrients (I feel like I am low in calcium, usually 400mg a day, for example). Anyway the problem I"m having is I'm getting these very dark circles under my eyes, it looks like I have had very little sleep (I sleep around 7 hours a night minimum) and sometimes little red spots will appear under my eyes as well. It's been almost a month since I've had it. Sometimes it's accompanied by dry skin and puffiness all in the same place under my eyes. I'm worried to the point where I have made a doctor's appointment but I don't really trust anything a doctor would say... More about me I'm female just under 5'5 103 pounds and during the day I usually eat mostly fruit having around 2100 calories or more and usually between 6 and 13% fat. I've recently cut my avocado consumption I used to have one a day. I feel much better but I am concerned about the appearance of these dark circles and am a bit at a loss of what to do. Right now I"m just working on cutting the remaining unhealthy things out (oil and vinegar for my salads) etc and maybe that will do the trick but interesting in hearing from others. Thank you.
