Augusto, Where are you looking at this chart? For bananas, I keep seeing a PRAL of -5.5 (negative numbers are alkaline). In fact, here is a copy of the study you cite, and therein bananas are listed as -5.5 as well: www.vivalis.si/literatura/2a95.pdf Does this help? P.S. The -3.1 beans are "green beans" or "french beans," which may be eaten whole and raw when they are fresh, young,and tender. Very different from the lentils that are listed as acid in the chart.
