hey doug. A close family member has been diagnosed with incurable stage 4 cancer of the esophagus. he has been going downhill fast. I have been trying to help him. he is mostly resting and he hasn't eaten anything for a few days other than some coconut water in a little bit of water. they have called hospice and the plan is to insert a feeding tube... is this a good idea? Or should he just not eat at all? He doesn't even want water, actually. and if the feeding tube is a good idea, what should we have him consume? is it okay to put some orange juice or blended peaches or something in the feeding tube? or should he just not eat or drink anything at all?
