Hi Mike, By any chance, do you have a copy of "Nutrition and Athletic Performance" by Dr. Graham? If not, I highly recommend you get a hold of a copy and read it. In the meantime, here are some excerpts that may whet your appetite: "There are four basic insufficiency factors involved in the body's ability to recover from training: insufficient sugar, insufficient salt, insufficent water, and insufficient rest and sleep. There is also one excess to consider -- that of excess fat. When we understand how these five factors function and interact, we can use this knowledge to the best advantage in order to bring about the fastest recovery possible. . . .
