Hello, I have some doubts about iron deficiency, I got a blood test done cause I was feeling too tired even after sleeping 12+ hours a day sometimes. Anyway, the test says my red blood cell count is low. I noticed something was not right cause my hair was falling like crazy, my skin very sensitive, if I don't wear gloves when I do dishes, my skin would fall off ad they'll bleed. I know diet is a big part of the problem, but is not everything, stress is a big factor too. I'm currently going through a divorce, that is leaving me broke with a toddler and a 4 month old baby. At the moment I'm staying at a relative's house so part of the stress comes from seeing my son so curious about foods I don't approve of like meat, pizza, ice cream, cookies, all the things I do not let him have while listening to ppl telling me I'm being irrational that my sons will grow on this society and shouldn't be so hard on them, etc!! I was not ready for this! I'm nursing my baby exclusively so I'm guessing that could be what's taking so much out of me too? About my diet, I'm vegan, and don't cook my veggies, but I do eat brown rice and pasta dishes. I eat a salad and some fruit everyday. I only drink water and soy or almond milk. I thought I was healthy (compare to most ppl) but after reading the 80/10/10 and grain damage, I became aware of the grain issue and realized I don't eat nearly as much fruit as I should. The problem was when I found out about raw foods, I was pregnant, and I was told converting was too risky for the baby. Overall, my question is how can I start a raw diet slowly so it doesn't affect my milk in terms of toxins. And how can I deal with an iron deficiency while I convert and while I nurse my baby. I bought a Vitamix, and some books about lfrv. I'm ready to get started =) Thanks so much, sorry I got carried away with my personal life!! I thought you may need some details in order to help me out!! ps: Dr Graham, do you have a book about raw foods for children yet? I read somewhere you were thinking about releasing one this year?? Thanks again!!! Sincerely, Barbara.
