Mark, I've read a book by Fuhrman, I believe that is his last name, and he suggests that fasts for healing purposes (especially ones that can not be healed via eating a 'physiological diet') should not be under two weeks. It took my body 3 weeks before it really started to clean house. Digestive problems can be quite severe and take time friend. If you do go through with this, though, I would say have the purest water (distilled, reverse osmosis) available and lay in bed all day and try to sleep as much as possible. No exercising, stretching, TV, computer, shower- just utter relaxation. If you go outside, limit your time in direct sunlight as it will dehydrate you and getting up gets tricky at that point. Get up slowly as you will get dizzy otherwise. Funny point, after my fast when I tried to surf the internet, I actually had to limit my time on it to 10-15 minutes because the screen hurt my eyes so much. They were entirely red, swollen and irritated just from a few minutes. To pass the time and control the mind, books and audiobooks are a godsend. I'm far from an expert on this situation. This comes just from a few books that I have read and personal experience. -Rudy
