Subject:         Staying raw with spices...

First, I wanted to say that I found raw food about a year ago from today. Since then I have fallen off the diet and have gone back on it many times over the past year. sometimes I would go many 1-2 months at best raw, then I end up craving cooked food, but I know it's not true hunger but inability to correctly cope with my emotions without using food. Now, I have been currently eating 100% raw again for about 1 and a half months, roughly. But this time, I decided to eat two huge salads a day (1 at lunch, 1 at dinner) consisting of lettuce, dill weed, tomatoes, corn, cucumber, green peppers, and the last ingredients curry powder and onion powder. My question is regarding these two spices. It appears that I am able to stay on this diet much easier when I include these dry spices in my huge salads. They seem to make salads taste really good and therefore replace the intense flavor of cooked foods. However, I was wondering what are the results of including these daily in my diet. Do they prevent the outstanding benefits that I have experienced before when I ate 100% raw without the spices?

Mainly, I would just like your advice on including these two spices? I still eat a lot of fruit, always have a fruit meal before my salads. I also run daily which helps me stay on the diet, since it helps me deal with stress.

Any comments on what you think of curry powder and onion powder would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
