Are you asking because you are afraid you may not be getting "enough" iodine and you are considering supplementing with seaweed/kelp, Heidi Jane?
If so, you may wish to revisit this thread from this time last year:

braaavo braaavo clarissa :)
you always say it the best :)
this post has doubled me confidence in just eating fruits and veggies w/o feelin the need to supplement eeeeever! nor eeeeever eat nuts or seeds or avocados or coconuts and just go overt free 4 months and years at a time or fooooreeever! as all the fat, protein, carbs, vitamins, and minerals me body needs is in variety thruout year and month with just fruits and greens, right? :)!
That thread starts here (entitled, "Is the 811 diet sufficient with iodine?"): http://www.vegsource.com/talk/raw/messages/100029786.html
And, Dr. Graham says in a separate post from just one week ago:
"Unless the food you eat is grown in soil that is deficient in iodine, (such as you would find in Michigan, or specific areas on other continents) there is little likelihood of iodine deficiency. Certainly, it is easy enough to test for iodine sufficiency."
Hope this helps, Heidi Jane. :)
