I'm a 31-year-old male and I've been battling cfs/fms/candida for ten years.

On Monday, I switched from a low carb diet to the 80/10/10 diet. I did well on
day one, but halfway through day two a pineapple/grapefruit/spinach smoothie
seemed to give me an allergic reaction. I got flushed and nauseous.

That night I had awful heartburn and hiccups as well as many flu-like
symptoms.

I thought perhaps it was detox, but now all citrus and even mangos are making
me flush (sweating, burning pin pricks starting at the top of my head.) On top
of that, all fruit, even the copious bananas I've been eating, seem to leave me
with some degree of heartburn.

I'm considering introducing brown rice or spelt as a way to keep calories up
with my current limited fruit intake.

I understand that some food allergies will disappear as the gut heals.

I'm wondering if Dr. Graham or any of the other old pros on the forum have
witnessed a similar reaction before, and if you have any recommendations
based on your experience... It can get pretty disheartening to feel like you're
floundering in the dark.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Best,
Chris
