"one's body is very intelligent so ease your worries about toxicity in that your body will be able to filter it out and detox of it."
I don't understand what you're trying to say here, heidi jane. Can you clarify? I'm reading it to mean that we can do whatever we want to our bodies and our bodies will self-heal. I can smoke and my body, because it is so very intelligent, will filter out the toxins and detox of them. Yes?
I find these quotes of Rozi's from Raw Nutritional Science Part 1 to be of interest:
"[M]ost of the conditions that are destroying people today, in terms of their health, are as a result of accumulation over a period of time."
and
"[D]isease is a result of the accumulation of health-destroying habits. . . . [Y]ou will find in classic texts there is a lot of this aging given relating to shifts in your metabolic rate, but in fact the way that we view it is it's nothing to do with age, it's just a typical age at which you start to pay the price of your habits, or you start to reap what you have sown."
Back to your post, heidi jane. You said,
"also mike, even if one ate 100% organic one would still be ingesting toxic poisons thru the air and thru touch and thru smell also"
Correct, but I would think this is all the more reason to lighten the toxic load whenever possible, and ONE way of doing this is choosing to eat organically.
"so just relax and do the best you can in all ways :)"
Agreed . . . relax and do the best you can in all ways. In my opinion though, this means that once you know better, do better (congruency).
Here's a quote from Dr. Graham, which I've found of interest:
"People say, 'everything in moderation.' I suggest that foods that are good for us are good only in moderation, but that the foods that are harmful to us should be avoided, regardless of the dose." The 80-10-10 Diet, p. 12
What do you think, heidi jane?
