I have not fasted someone specifically for this condition, but if I did, I would not think that the infection would go away in a matter of days. I wouldn't be surprised to see it take 2 weeks or possibly longer. If the infection isn't treated, the bacteria may get up into the uterus or the fallopian tubes and cause more serious infections, so it should be taken seriously.
