Short fasts are typically quite safe at home, yes. For bladder infection, I usually find that 2-3 days of fasting is sufficient, but if you go back to eating too soon, the infection is not fully gone and symptoms return. So, I recommend waiting for at least 12-18 hours after all symptoms are gone before you begin eating again.
