| Subject: | Bladder/kidney issues, need to avoid antibiotics |

Hi,
I used to do 80-10-10 and have some fasting experience but haven't
done this for a few years. As a kid I had many bladder/urinary tract
infections and many antibiotics (until around age 20). Haven't had a UTI
for probably over a decade but recently diet and stress levels have been
worse and I started having symptoms of a bladder infection.
I have all the symptoms of a bladder infection but many of them overlap
with the signs of a kidney infection. No fever or pain at the kidneys, but
very painful urination, some blood & mucus in urine, very foul-smelling
pee. Definitely feels better to fast and seems to get worse after eating
anything besides oranges. In the past 24 hours only ate one orange
(about 8 hours ago). The pain has improved some. Unfortunately several
days ago the symptoms were coming and going and whenever I went raw
or fasted part of a day, the symptoms improved...but I think I ignored it
too long and now after fasting half the day the symptoms are not gone
yet.
My concern is that I've been reading how a kidney infection can be
dangerous, and I don't know where the line is. If it is just a bladder
infection, I am not worried, but I want to be careful about the kidneys.
Doug I know you can't give diagnosis here but it's been so many years
that I have not trusted MDs and I really really really don't want to end up
on antibiotics so I hesitate to get a checkup. Do you think it's OK to do a
bit of water fasting and see how it goes, or is it safer to just do a mono
fruit diet like oranges? Will a mono fruit diet be enough to help with an
infection?
Thank you so much for any responses.
D
