Humans are not designed to drink large quantities of water. I have lectured and written about this for decades. Many people on 811 find that their requirement for water is reduced to almost zero. I am not against drinking water, and I drink plenty when exercising hard in challenging climates, but when living "comfortably" I rarely drink water at all. I don't make a big deal about what kind of water to drink because the question is not that important when following 811. If you don't drink any water, who cares what kind of water you don't drink? :) I do recommend distilled water, reverse osmosis water, condensated water, or any other relatively clean water source as preferable to tap water. When I am hiking, I drink mountain spring water, but again, not that much water is needed when eating 811. Drink enough water to stay well-hydrated. Water needs may vary constantly.
