Hi ana, sorry to hear of you discomfort. It sounds like sciatica, relocated to the front! My twopennorth is: maybe your backbend stretched but did not damage the nerve; I suggest the problem would have arisen anyway, the stretching simply brought symptoms out a few days earlier. Personally I'm a huge fan of orthotics; they enabled me to continue high-impact exercise and go harder, when I felt I had to give up, 20 years ago. I'm guessing the issue may have arisen running, or whatever standing activity you do. If you choose to look into this, find a reputable and experienced professional who does gait analysis, the more detailed the better. I was fortunate enough to be analysed in 3D, at a venue dedicated primarily to racehorses! You can do a basic assessment of yourself by placing fingers on the iliac crest as you walk. You may feel one side sits higher, or rotates more.
